The Carbohydrate Addict’s misfortune!

This is about a big blunder that Carbohydrate Addict’s have paid for - Dearly!

For almost forty years, we have been bullied and seduced to follow advice about diets that have made us obese, turned us into Carbohydrate addicts and left us wide open to type2 diabetes.

I’m not going to say to you that some new and well touted diet doesn’t work.  Who knows, it might well reduce your weight.  But it’s like a pony trick, it will last only a short time.  When you stop the diet, your body immediately begins to return to normal and eventually, all the weight you lost, plus some, is back where your body knows it belongs.

When you go on a diet you declare war not only on your body, but on nature itself. Your body is not built for diets and no matter how often you try, and how much weight you might lose in the process, you will finally gain it all back, plus some.

You see, when you diet your brain sends a message to your body which says in effect: We have a famine!  Any weight you lose from then on will be treated as weight lost through starvation.  That’s why your body is so anxious to get it all back for you.

Is there a way to avoid that process and still lose weight with a diet?  No!  People have been trying to do that for forty years – without success.  I’m sure you’ve had a couple of tries yourself.  The fact is diets don’t work! Sure, you can lose weight, but your body will always guarantee you get it all back – sooner or later.

You need to learn and recognize that you don’t have a weight problem – you have a food problem.  You are eating the wrong food, you’re eating way too much of it and your body doesn’t like that kind of food. It has already lost its natural ability to control and balance your weight.

This has happened not by chance, it is the result of the unnecessary meddling by unqualified people which began around 40 years ago.  It has caused what is best described as mass carbohydrate addiction and what is already termed an obesity epidemic.

By not taking action, you will become a carbohydrate addict. You will eventually lapse into obesity.  Along the way, you will be exposed to type2 diabetes, a dangerous, life threatening disease.

Am I scaring you?  I sure hope so, mainly because nobody else will.  Millions of dollars have been staked on your weight problems. It drives whole industries.  Sure they want you to diet they just don’t want you to lose the weight for good!

It’s time to give your body a chance to recover. You need to relearn the types of food most people still ate naturally thirty - forty years ago. You need to cure your carbohydrate addiction, reverse your weight problem and learn to get back in touch with your own body.

We all need to return to our traditional diet. It is what kept us healthy and caused us to survive and thrive for centuries. It worked very well for us without the help and advice of nutritionists; dietitians diet gurus, food manufacturers and multi-national corporations.

We don’t need a balanced diet, we need the diet our body was designed for and which brought us to where we used to be when most of us were slim - not that long ago!  That was when our mother’s and grandmother’s would pass on their knowledge and advice about our since forgotten Traditional Diet.

Carbohydrate Addicts - Is it True?

Please note: All  information in this article,  about carbohydrate addicts, is based on the soon to be published book:

The carbohydrate addicts manual!

Written by: Kirsten Plotkin

This book will explain what carbohydrate addiction is - How you get it, what causes it and how it will affect your life.  You will discover when the first carbohydrate addicts began to appear.  Who and what drove them to an obesity diet and finally - What We Can Do To Cure Carbohydrate Addicts for good- Today!

For almost forty years, we have been bullied and coerced to eat carbohydrates foods instead of foods with protein.  We have become carbohydrate addicts not to mention, mere obesity statistics. Worst of all?  We are left wide open to type2 diabetes.

I won't say that some new easy diet plan doesn’t work.  Who knows, it might reduce your weight.  But like a pony trick, it will last only a short time.  When you stop the diet, your carbohydrate addicts body returns to normal. Eventually, all your weight loss is back where your body knows it belongs.

When you diet you declare war not only on your body, but on nature.  Your body is not built for an easy diet plan and it is not able to process today's carbohydrates foods. No matter how often you try to diet, or how much weight you lose in the process, you will eventually get it all back,  plus some. Your carbohydrate addiction guarantees you are destined to join the obesity statistics.

It is not possible for carbohydrate addicts to remain on a diet!

When you start to diet your brain sends a message to your body which says in effect:  We have a famine!  From then on, any weight you lose is treated as weight lost through starvation.   Foods with protein will rarely be on your menu. That's because your cravings for carbohydrates foods will increase to ensure that your body can recover the lost weight.

This is important to all the millions of  carbohydrate addicts, who have already lost control.  You will join the  obesity statistics.   But even more serious, you are very likely to get type2 diabetes.   Type2 diabetes is a dangerous disease which is entirely diet related.

Can you eat carbohydrates foods and still lose weight on a diet?  No!  People have tried that for forty years – without success.  I’m sure you’ve tried yourself.  The fact is diets don’t work!  Your body has become programmed to crave carbohydrates foods, and to ignore any signs of carbohydrate addiction .   Sure, you can lose weight, but your body will always get it back – sooner or later.

You need to understand;  you don’t have a weight problem – you have a carbohydrate addicts problem.  You are eating the wrong food, you eat way too much of it and your body doesn’t like that kind of food.   Your body is not designed to process the carbohydrates foods we eat today.

Becoming carbohydrate addicts is no accident!

Carbohydrate addiction is the result of  meddling by unqualified people which began around 40 years ago.  The result can best be described as an epidemic of carbohydrate addicts and staggering obesity statistics.

By not taking action to prevent becoming carbohydrate addicts, we join the millions of other carbohydrate addicts. That means we eventually become obese and exposed to obesity diseases and type2 diabetes.

Am I scaring you?  I sure hope so!  Chances are nobody else will.  Millions of dollars have been staked on growing obesity statistics and YOUR ongoing weight problems. It drives whole industries.  Sure they want you to diet they just don’t want you to cure your carbohydrate addiction and lose the weight for good!

To those who are carbohydrate addicts:  You must first treat your carbohydrate addiction and allow your body to recover. Then you'll have to change to the foods most people ate naturally thirty - forty years ago. Not till you cure your carbohydrate addiction will you be safe from obesity statistics and type2 diabetes.

Our traditional diet kept us healthy and allowed us to survive and thrive for centuries.  Carbohydrate addicts did not become noticeable till around 30 years ago.  Before that, the traditional diet worked perfectly without any help from nutritionists; dietitians diet gurus, food manufacturers and multi-national corporations.  None of those professions existed back then.  Now that they do, they do not want to see a nation of slim people.

We don’t need a balanced diet, we need the diet our body was designed for, the diet we all used when most of us were slim people. That's when carbohydrate addicts were unheard of and it was long before carbohydrate addiction and type2 diabetes, even existed.  It was when we listened to our mother’s and grandmother’s and followed our Traditional Diet.

The Real Truth About Carbohydrate Addicts!

What is the biggest obstacle to losing weight?

Maybe it is the bombardment of conflicting advice,

which leaves us uncertain about who to trust. It

could also be that on some level we are all aware

that none of the diet advice we are pounded with

today is backed up by either facts or logic. It

also does not consider carbohydrate addict’s, or

their addiction.

Before you put anything into your body should you

not first know how your body works and what effect

it is likely to have? Most people used to know

that. But since diets began, all matters concerning

our body have been handed over to people who have

no interest in how the body works or feels. Their

interest is confined to ways they can influence us

on what we put into the body.

Fundamental information about your body is not

rocket science. Unfortunately, people no longer

seem prepared to share that information. They

prefer to shroud it in mystery and quasi science.

That may be because you can only remain an ‘expert’

as long as you possess exclusive knowledge.

It’s critical for us to know what happens when we

eat the wrong food. The thing is, once we know it,

we can only come to one irrefutable conclusion:

Diets don’t work.  They can’t because the body does

not allow it.  This is the truth so called ‘experts’

fear. At least those who know how the body works.

Many do not!

Is it any wonder the people who profit from our

weight problems either don’t know the facts, or they

do not want YOU to know them?  Not knowing is what

leaves us powerless to challenge the next charlatan

who can show us a completely new way to lose weight.

As long as we don’t understand our own body we are

easily persuaded to follow any diet guru who offers

us hope.

I’m going to ask one simple question: When people

started to diet 40 years ago were they mostly slim?

The easy answer by anyone who was an adult at that

time is a simple Yes!  In less that forty years of

dieting, we have gone from a majority of slim people

to a majority of fat people and every statistic

indicates that in another decade 80% of us will be

fat– and that number will still increase.

Based only on basic anatomy, something we should all

know, we have to conclude that diets do not work!

In fact there is an extremely good case to suggest

that diets are the cause of the obesity epidemic

and the looming type2 diabetic epidemic we see today.

If you don’t know how your body works how are you

expected to know what kind of food to eat?

When you get a pet, don’t you first ask what kind of

food to give it?  Do you really want to trust other

people, who have their own agenda to tell you what

to put into your body?

The thing is once you know, in simple terms, how

your body works, you will know exactly what to feed

it and what not to feed it.  You will quickly realize

that diets truly don’t work and will stop you from

any chance of ever losing your weight for good.

If you want to learn more about this you will find

more articles and several videos on my blog. You'll

also find a free Mini Manual you can download.

A Q&A on The Carbohydrate Addict’s Manual!

Hi it's me again, Kirsten Plotkin. Today I want to pose

12 important questions about The Carbohydrate Addict’s

Manual that I'm sure you want answered.

1. What has enabled me to write a book of ’authority

‘on carbohydrate addiction?

First my age.  I’m a spritely 69 year old who happens

to possess something that not many people can match.

First my understanding and love of history.  Second, my

knowledge of some critical facts dating back over more

than forty-five years.  And finally, the ability to

collect my thoughts and ideas and put them on paper.

2. With all that I knew, how could I let it happen to

me?

How could I spend 20 years being overweight, frozen in

indecision and locked in despair?

My mistake was to listen to experts when what I call

my innate “Bull Dust” barometer was screaming at me:

this is all wrong!

3. Could it be that my mistakes are also your

mistakes?

You see I listened to the wrong people till it was

almost too late.  They were the ‘experts’, most other

people listened to them with reverence.  How could

I be right and they be wrong?

4. Why did it take me twenty years to act?

Like you, I wanted to believe these people.  They

laughed at the past and what they said seemed so

clever and right. It was new and modern and I was

seduced by words like green and healthy diets and

calories and detox. I lost my way and completely

forgot what I knew.  Anyway, surely they knew better

than me?

5. What finally brought me to my senses?

One of the benefits of growing older is that you

become more skeptical.  You look down your telescope

and see how it was before. You have had time to

learn that it’s not about what people claim,  it’s

about where their claims originate and what they

are based on.  You begin to realize that 'experts'

are not always expert and they do  do not always

know more than you do.

6. Why is my information more correct than those

other people’s?

I remember how it all began and who started it. I

know why there’s an obesity epidemic today and why

carbohydrate addiction is equally critical. If

others are aware of it they are certainly not

talking about it.  When Carbohydrate addicts are

talked about or written about today,  it’s

invariably in the context of “the right diet”

when, it should be about ‘curing the addiction’.

Until that is changed nothing will change.

7. How can I be so sure I’m right?

When we think of other common addictions like

tobacco and alcohol we don’t think about ways to

live a healthier life using those substances, we

think about how we can cure the addiction. That

same rule does not apply to carbohydrates.

Instead, when we think of carbohydrate addiction

we think about what is the right diet that can

fit in with our cravings for carbohydrate.  The

word addiction rarely enters into that equation.

8. Why do people skirt the subject of

carbohydrate addiction?

In the past people used to skirt the subject of

tobacco and alcohol addiction.  For a long time,

people were not even convinced that these were

genuine addictions. We all witnessed the power

of vested interests when the tobacco industry

was finally called to account.

9. How did they get away with it for so long?

There were too many ‘experts’ and corporations

promoting their own research about the safety of

smoking in moderation.  We are human. We always

listen to the message we want to believe.  As

addicts we become co-conspirators.  That’s how

addiction works and how we are so easily

manipulated by the the ‘experts!

10. How important is carbohydrate addiction

compared to other addictions?

They are equally important. An addiction is

just that. An unstoppable compulsion over which

you have little or no control. All that changes

is the substance to which you are hooked.

11. What is the greatest handicap to a cure?

At present, carbohydrate addiction is in a

special category. It is not yet taken seriously.

The moment somebody puts focus on the word

addiction, in relation to carbohydrate, the

immediate question should be: How do we cure it?

But that’s when the subject of carbohydrate

addiction becomes a problem.  Not to people

like us - the addicts, - but to all those vested

interests who profit from the addiction and want

nothing to interfere with that.

12. What can YOU expect to learn from ME?

I’ll show you why you are addicted. Who and

what caused it, and why it continuous to this

day.  Unless you know and understand that, you

will never be fully ready to change your

lifestyle and overcome your addiction.  And

yes, you will overcome the addiction because

you will be ready. You will realize that soon

the cravings will be gone and as a by-product,

so will the weight - for good.

The Carbohydrate Addicts Diet V Obesity Statistics

Wednesday, September 1, 2010

Everybody is getting fat...Why?

I have been posting a lot of videos about

The Carbohydrate Addicts Diet and I suddenly

realized that you don’t know much about me.

I want to change that by telling you my

story.

I’m a 69(going on 49 year old) retired

grandmother.  I was in business for many

years and never had the opportunity to write

seriously.   Once I retired, around 6 years

ago, that all changed.  I’m now just as busy

writing as I ever was in my business.

So how did I end up writing about carbohydrate

addiction? Well, I became personally involved.

When I was in my early 40’s I had some very

minor surgery during which something went

wrong and I suffered a cardiac arrest.  Till

then, I had never had a weight problem I

couldn’t take care of in the gym.

It soon turned out that my heart issue had

caused some damage.  Within 3 months of the

event, I realized I was gaining weight. I

upped my visits to the gym but it was clear

that although the weight was coming off, it

was a lot harder to accomplish than I had

experienced before.

I went to the doctor to find out why and I

was diagnosed with a thyroid condition.

The doctor said I would have a weight problem

for life and that rather than depend on

exercise, I should visit a dietitian who

would teach me a better, healthier way to

eat.

I followed his advice and that’s about the

time my real weight problems began. For

years, despite regular exercise, and

sticking to the recommended diet, I very

slowly, very gradually gained weight.

When I retired, 6 years ago, I was around

80 kilos. I suffered the early symptoms of

type2 diabetes and I was on the verge of

depression. - Still, I finally had time

to write and to think.

The growing obesity that seemed to affect

everyone around me didn’t make sense,

particularly in light of some events and

facts I knew about, that went right back to

my youth.

I decided to ignore all the diets, including

the current ‘green’ diet philosophy and

instead return to the food that was natural

to me more than twenty years earlier.

Today, I don’t have a weight problem. I

haven’t had a weight problem for six years.

I also no longer suffer the symptoms of

type2 diabetes. I think that’s an amazing,

unexpected result, important enough to earn

me the right to tell people about it.

So I have written a book which I hope to

publish online very soon. In the meantime I

have created a little blog to tell people

about my not so secret – secrets. I have

also gone into video production, which I’m

having a lot of fun with.

My grandkids are impressed with my YouTube

status and pretend interest in weight loss.

Who would have thought! I’m fast becoming a

hero with the 9 -15 age group.

While waiting for my book to be published,

I’m posting videos and writing articles for

my blog to tell people about some really

important things nobody else seem prepared to

talk about.  There’s a very good chance it’s

because nobody else is around who knows

enough and can put the pieces together as

I have done.

Not till you know and recognize the truth

about a problem, can you be expected to

successfully deal with it!
