It’s Sexy to be Healthy and a Healthy Lifestyle is a Sexy Lifestyle!

I’m excited! I have just created my first Fan page on Facebook, about my favorite subject: A healthy lifestyle.

It’s called, “It’s Sexy to be Healthy

and a Healthy Lifestyle

is a Sexy Lifestyle”.

It has taken me close to 3 years to do that. I sure hope you like it. Facebook is very hot right now. That’s because it has finally been discovered by the online business community. Not that they didn’t know about it before. They just didn’t have the time or energy to figure it out. That’s pretty much how I felt till I created:

‘It’s Sexy to be Healthy and a Healthy Lifestyle is a Sexy Lifestyle”.

It’s a long title I know, but it grabbed me at the time. I plan to post many updates and I hope you will visit often. Right now I’m getting ready to publish my book: The Carbohydrate Addicts Handbook”. This is a very special project to me. It's about what I did to save myself. How I gave up a so called healthy lifestyle and returned to Mother Nature's version of a healthy lifestyle, the one designed to suit our body. For some years now I have watched as more and more people gain weight, become obese and suddenly find themselves with type2 diabetes. Statistics tell us this now represents 60% of the population. They say this will grow to 80% by 2020. Yet, not so long ago obesity was rare and type2 diabetes was unknown. Why am I so interested? I used to be one of them. Till I was 43, I never had a weight problem, nor did my friends or anyone in my family. Till the 80’s weight problems were rare and usually due to illness. We lived what had always been deemed a healthy lifestyle. One that had been passed down from our grandparents. But then I had a mishap. Something went wrong during a surgical procedure. I suffered a cardiac arrest and a damaged thyroid. The doctor advised me to go on diet to avoid gaining weight.

I was told to adopt a new, modern healthy lifestyle.

I spent the next 20 years going from one diet to the next, losing weight only to eventually regain it with just that little bit more weight each time. I finally came to my senses. I suddenly remembered that till I was 43, and began to diet, I never had a weight problem. Somehow, that seemed connected. I have always been well informed and take a close interest in anything new and unusual. It was a bit like solving a puzzle. I remembered some major changes involving our old traditional diet which happened in the late seventies and suddenly everything fell into place. I went back to the original healthy lifestyle and started to eat the kind of food that was normal to me and most other people forty years ago. Not only did I lose all the weight, but I suddenly realized that a lot of symptoms I had come to believe were normal had suddenly disappeared. Things like constant cravings, sudden urges to binge feelings of hunger less than an hour after I had eaten a large meal. I felt free, light and energetic. Feelings I had not experienced for twenty years. I was informed enough to recognize that those were the feelings of carbohydrate addicts. I had cured my carbohydrate addiction the way I cured my tobacco addiction, without even knowing. That was more that 6 years ago and my weight remains stable. I have no doubt that as long as I keep to my old diet, it always will. The carbohydrate addict’s manual reveals exactly what I did to revert to my old healthy lifestyle. It explains how I did it and why it works. Once you understand that you will realize that it will work for you too. If you visit my fan page: “It’s sexy to be healthy and a healthy lifestyle is a sexy lifestyle” you will learn much more. Why were carbohydrate addicts tricked?

carbohydrate addicts are no different!

Unfortunately,

it will have taken carbohydrate addicts

several decades to arrive at the truth!

I’m sure when you have read some of my articles or seen a couple of my videos about carbohydrate addicts. You’ve probably asked yourself who is this person? I know most of what I say is very different to what anybody else says. My aim is not to appeal to what you want to hear. I just want to appeal to your common sense.

If you are one of the millions of carbohydrate addicts, who don't know this yet, you deserve to learn the truth.

I believe once we understand something fully and apply our own common sense, we inevitable arrive at the truth. That’s where I hope to lead you. Still, you will want to know how I got a hold of all that new information and why nobody else is talking about carbohydrate addicts, at least not how to cure them. I understand that and I’ll endeavor to explain.

I think if most of the people who promote diets today, understand just a little about the workings of our body, they will recognize the truth. They may choose not to do anything, but that’s a different matter. Their livelihood depends on carbohydrate addicts remaining addicted.

Misinformation has become so entrenched into our lifestyle that to unravel it will take more than truth, more than sincerity and a lot more than me. But I believe bad beliefs are ultimately exposed and I aim to do all I can to hurry that exposure along. My big advantage over all those who fill your ears with bad information about food, is that I’ll be seventy years old in June.

That means I have been around the diet industryfrom the beginning. I have witnessed the birth of carbohydrate addicts and I have seen this unrecognized epidemic grow before my eyes for almost thirty years. I’m also the kind of person who, when I see something weird or interesting, will make a note of it and remember it.

In the sixties and early seventies, just about everybody out of University seemed to have a brilliant idea. Many pursued it and tried to make it a career. One such group of people had noticed that there were no guidelines about what was considered the normal diet at that time. It was just something each generation passed on to the next.

Doctor’s had no interest in foods that had been standard for as long as anyone could remember. Only in cases of illness – like diabetes, did doctor’s become involved and then would recommend a special diet. By the mid to late seventies our budding ‘experts’ had established themselves on the fringe of medicine with a diet that would create a new healthy lifestyle – or so they said.

There were no weight problems to appeal to in those days, so better health was the only option. Nevertheless, the diet seemed to flounder until a sudden stroke of luck intervened. Cholestrol became a revelation to these people and gave them the means and the opportunity to gain wide credibility. You see nobody had ever heard of cholestrol but it was said to be very dangerous and the only way to cure it was to embark on this new diet that was designed to cure it.

No medical or science professional ever stepped in to correct that misinformation. Those of you who were around then will be nodding your heads. You’ll remember that diet as The Pyramid Diet. It eventually proved to be an exact reversal of what had till then been our traditional diet. Millions of people embarked on the new diet out of fear of cholestrol and in due course they became carbohydrate addicts.

Their children followed the same diet and they too became addicted. Their children are right now passing their addiction on to their little ones. All of this has happened in blissful ignorance and it’s got to stop. As someone who was one of those carbohydrate addicts for more than twenty years, you’ll understand why I’m a little angry and why I want so much to stop it. If I don’t who will? I mean who else remembers and can pass it on?

A Closer Look At Carbohydrate Addicts!

Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE X-NONE

Carbohydrate addicts are paying a big price for their lifestyle.  Yet most don’t even know they are addicted, or what the ultimate price of addiction can be. They receive no recognition and even less information about a lifestyle that will turn them into obesity statistics and probably kill them.

Nobody hesitates to tell carbohydrate addicts to go on a low carb diet.  Yet those same people wouldn’t dream of advising an alcoholic to stick to a couple of drinks, or a tobacco addict to just cut down on cigarettes.  It’s a double standard that smacks of hypocrisy and self interest.

Obesity statistics continue to climb and fewer slim people appear in the malls every day. Nobody wants to acknowledge the truth.  Take a good look around. Carbohydrates foods are slowly killing us. If that doesn’t get us, Type2 diabetes will. Yet the people who should warn us because they know better are getting ready to launch the next big diet.

Self proclaimed experts ask carbohydrate addicts to eat a particular food wisely, or to concentrate only on low carb foods.  This is like asking a starving person to eat only orange food, or asking an alcoholic to have only one drink a day.  It is unrealistic and can only further add to the confusion and despair suffered by the addict.

Carbohydrate addicts do not need a diet. What they need is a cure for their addiction.  As long as the addiction prevails, there is no solution to a weight problem and the addict will continue to grow fatter.

The fact is, our body was not designed to diet.  To the body it is perceived as a famine.  The natural response to a famine is to slow down the metabolism and conserve fat.  Once the famine is over, the body will recover the lost weight as soon as you let it.

Obesity statistics will continue to climb till it is realized that carbohydrate addicts must deal with their addiction before they can expect to deal with their weight problem.  In fact, the addiction cure will take care of their weight problem.

The secret carbohydrate addicts epidemic!

Have you noticed how everyone seems to get fat

and end up carbohydrate addicts?

This is because of what we choose to eat, right?

YES AND NO! People who are carbohydrate addicts

don't really have a choice.

It is very easy to join the 60% of the population who are already carbohydrate addicts.

Ask yourself this: - Does an alcoholic choose to have one drink and go? Can a nicotine addict stop smoking whenever they want? Do all those people clinging to a poker machine, stop playing when they lose their limit? No matter what the addiction – by definition: You Have Lost Control. Those who urge you to eat a low carb diet are the same kind of people who tell an alcoholic to stick to one drink.

You cannot stop the spread of carbohydrate addicts till they have been cured.

I don’t care what anybody else says; being fat is NOT ok. It might have been ok when there was no choice, but there is a choice. Carbohydrate addicts can be cured I’m living proof of that. All we have to do is recognize it and cure our addiction. You see, I can prove, what has caused not just me, but around 60% of everybody else to get fat and become carbohydrate addicts. I know the reason, I know when it started and I know who and what caused it. Carbohydrate addicts can be cured. Once you know how – you too can cure your carbohydrate addiction and lose the weight for good! First, let’s get one thing clear: This is not about a diet. I’m sure you know by now, diets don’t work. Why? - Your body won’t let them. That’s because our body was never designed to digest the carbohydrates foods we eat today, or to diet to lose the weight we gain as a consequence. Till 40 years ago, nobody would have dreamed of dieting. When you limit your food your body responds to famine. It panics and sends out a message to slow down and begin to store body fat. That's not the kind of FAT you eat. It’s the kind of fat your body manufactures. It comes from all those carbohydrates you eat – those you’ve not been able to burn off in energy. Your body converts all carbohydrates foods into glucose. That’s your body’s fuel. There are no ‘special’ carbohydrates that get ‘special’ treatment. What you do not use for energy is converted to fat and stored on your body. What you need to learn is: When you think FAT - you should think carbohydrate. Few people today spend nearly enough energy. When the carbohydrates you eat in a day – begin to exceed the energy you can spend - your body starts to grow fat. This is how people become FAT carbohydrate addicts on a low carb diet. Two things are important about that. 1. Your body can only burn the amount of glucose you spend on energy. 2. There is no option for your body to store glucose. It is forced to store it as body fat. In a famine/diet you will spend even less energy than usual. When the diet/famine is over, your body will do all it can to recover whatever weight you have lost. That’s Nature and it's why obesity statistics will continue to rise. Mother Nature always wins. It will even add a little extra fat for protection against the next famine. Are you beginning to get the picture? If you and your family are carbohydrate addicts, you can’t afford to do nothing. Obesity statistics tell us that at current trends, 80% of us will be fat by 2020. That’s just a decade away. Will you and your family be among them? In my book, The carbohydrate Addicts Manual, I will reveal everything. I’ll teach you exactly what to do, every step of the way. I will motivate you with information that will make you want to stick with it. If you follow the book, you WILL lose the weight and it WILL stay off – for good. Human beings were not meant to be fat. Mother Nature didn’t design us to be carbohydrate addicts. We broke the laws of nature by foolishly allowing untrained people to reverse our traditional diet. Don't reward them with yet another diet. carbohydrate addicts! The Great Modern Myth!

How did carbohydrate addicts

come to be?

The conditions for carbohydrate addicts

were created forty years ago!

Call me a stickler, but I don’t want to see people get away with hurting other people, even if it's done unknowingly. Today’s diet is creating more carbohydrate addicts every day and the people who push it, knowingly or not, must be stopped. If I say to you: “Do you realize that 40 -50 years ago, the vast majority of people were slim people”? You will probably flash to a thought like: “That’s a long time ago before we had fast food and people often went hungry in those days”. But you would be completely wrong. You see, 40 – 50 years ago, in the western world it was the sixties and seventies, a time of excess and over indulgence. Even fast food, although a little different, was everywhere. Yet there was no sign of burgeoning obesity statistics and diets were considered for sick people. Again, If I was to say: Historically, for the past 10,000 years, right up till 40 years ago, the human diet was made up of mostly protein. Would that surprise you? Carbohydrates foods held a very secondary place in our normal diet. You’ll probably think: Well, people didn’t live much past 30 -40 years in those days. But you’d be wrong again. Even in biblical times people expected to live 3 scores and ten. That’s just 10 – 15 years less than we are expected to live today. Yet look at the amazing advances in medicines in just the last two decades. For the Past 10,000 years, the only period when the human lifespan took a great leap backwards was the period between the collapse of the Roman Empire, and the early dawn of the industrial revolution. Much of that period was known as the dark ages – with good reason. What separated people in the past from people today was the fact that till around forty years ago, most still maintained the traditional diet. This was a diet that was second nature. People didn’t count calories, or restrict their fat. They stuck mostly to foods with protein. They certainly didn’t think about dieting – they didn’t need to. The trouble is we have all been trained in sound bites and instant responses. That’s why so much misleading, even false information thrives when it comes to carbohydrates foods and the carbohydrate addicts who suffer the consequences. It's hard to believe we live in the 21st century. Perhaps you think it doesn’t really matter. But that’s until you realize that carbohydrates foods affect your health right now and it will go on to threaten your children. You do not want to see your children become carbohydrate addicts if they are not already affected! Think about this for a moment: Forty years ago our diet was turned upside down by foolish, unqualified people who were seeking a niche on the fringe of medicine.

That’s about the time we sowed the seeds

for carbohydrate addicts.

How could we accept such a radical change to a diet our grandparents and their grandparents had treasured? It was easy. You see, we didn’t know the facts. We were duped to believe that our health and the health of our children depended on it. The reason? High cholestrol. If you take a good look around today, you will see the results of that change. Just about everybody is getting fat. It has been happening, gradually, right under our noses for the best part of 40 years. Today about 60% of us are grossly overweight. Official obesity statistics tell us that by 2020, 80% will be affected. That is probably conservative. Considering that type2 diabetes has now appeared and is fast affecting those of us with weight problems, it is a fair, but very scary guess, that if we follow this trend we might not even survive to 2050. Yet, the same false dogma and presumed 'scientific' information continues to this day. The myth about what is good for people to eat still gets pushed at us by untrained people and plain old vested interests. Had the carbohydrates foods we eat today, been possible even a couple of hundred years ago, we would probably be extinct by now. How do they get away with it? - Nobody wants to rock the boat. Too many careers, professions, industries and corporations depend on an ever growing number of carbohydrate addicts. They are not going to change their products and they are not going to allow governments to try and make them. It is the tobacco addiction V the tobacco industry all over again. So it’s all going to have to come back to the individual – to you. Only you can make the necessary changes that will prevent you and your family becoming carbohydrate addicts. What happens if you don’t? It’s a bit like climate change. We fix it or we suffer the consequences.

Obesity statistics - Should we worry?!

In my early 40's I knew nothing about obesity statistics,

and I had never had a weight problem I couldn't solve in the gym.

At that time there were no obesity statistics because obesity facts were nonexistent.

Then because of a newly diagnosed thyroid condition, I began to gain weight. To me that meant more exercise and that seemed to work, although not as quickly as in the past. But my doctor was very clear that I should try this new ‘diet’ which would teach me a whole new way of eating.  He even referred me to a non medical ‘specialist’ who would monitor my progress.

This was the early 80's, before obesity statistics were even heard.

Diets were the new thing to do. Just about everybody had to try this new diet – called the Pyramid.  The reason so many people switched from the traditional diet to the new Pyramid diet was the sudden scare campaign about cholesterol.  It seemed almost everybody had high cholestrol.

At that time, had someone had the idea to fill a big pyramid shaped glass container with layers of food groups depicting our traditional diet. And had we then turned it upside down.  What we would have seen is – the Pyramid diet. You see - the joke was on all of us.

For 20 years I tried every possible diet and my weight went up and down like a yoyo. The end result was a slow, gradual increase in my overall weight.

Then finally I remembered what my life had been like till my early 40’s.  That’s when I so suddenly gave up the old traditional diet my mother and grandmother had taught me.  Sure, if I had been silly with cakes and sweets, I could put on a couple of pounds but never more than I could quickly work off in the gym.

I suddenly realized something quite awe inspiring.  We - human beings do not have a body that is designed for diets.  In fact, we didn’t diet till the latter part of the 20th century.  Our body evolved over eons, not decades.  It has not been able to adapt to the radical changes we have forced on it.

With the benefit of hindsight, it’s clear that we began to diet not long before obesity statistics were first recorded.

It’s equally important to mention that this happened to be the time when the Pyramid diet replaced our traditional diet. We ended up with foods that were the exact opposite to what our body had been accustomed to for generations.

It has now been seven years since my last diet and my weight has remained normal for all that time. Equally important is the fact that I no longer suffer from food cravings and periodic binges.

It has made me realize that what we are told today about what is good for us and what is not, is pure, unscientific, untested fiction. We don't need another diet. We need to recognize that we are probably carbohydrate addicts and that obesity statistics prove we are in the middle of a obesity epidemic.  The last thing we need is a diet.

If we want to reverse the obesity statistics, and give our body a well deserved break, we need to cure our addiction and get back to what was always our normal food. That was the type of food nature intended us to eat. The food our body has been designed to process.  It is time to get away from kitchen table science and the foods that have turned us into carbohydrate addicts

A Carbohydrate Addicts Confession!

Till I reached my 40’s, I don’t think anyone, including me,

knew that carbohydrate addicts existed.

I now realize that by then, the seeds that turned us into carbohydrate addicts had already been sown.

Then, 7 years ago I retired!

That’s when I began to wonder what might be the reason for my twenty year struggle with diabetic symptoms and weight problems.

Somehow, I put the puzzle together and in a moment of clarity, I realized - Diets Don’t Work – our body wasn’t built for diets.

I think we all tend to accept adversity!

Somehow, I had triggered memories of a series of events from the past that I had almost forgotten.

Back then, I had been forced to change the everyday food I had always eaten, to a diet of cholesterol lowering foods.

Diets were something new to me!

For the first 40 years of my life I never dieted.  Neither did anyone else I knew.

I did what most people did back then I stuck to the foods my grandmother taught me to eat and I didn’t give it a thought.

Cholesterol was a new revelation!

Few people, including me had never heard of it. I was very shocked to hear that my diet had put me at risk for decades.

It was very believable because everyone else around me seemed to suffer the same problem.

I soon stopped being one of the slim people!

It launched me on a 20 year nightmare of weight problems yoyo diets and gradual, but inevitable weight gain.

Then, finally, seven years ago, I came to my senses. The reason for my weight problem had finally become clear in my mind.

I realized we are all on the wrong track!

I returned to my original lifestyle and diet. I got back into contact with my own body and began to listen to it.

I reminded myself how the body works, what happens to the food when I eat it, and how I could end up with a weight problem.

You must demand real proof!

It is the least you should expect.  I’ve kept the weight off for 7 years. I think this has given me an obligation to reveal what I have learned.

Carbohydrate addicts are a fact. To fight back you must understand your body and be in control of it.

We are all victims of false dogma!

Too many people are in business to keep you fat. Most of them have no interest in today’s dangerous obesity statistics.

Only when you understand the facts can you cure your addiction, take control of your weight and live the life you were meant to live.

False prophets are always convincing!

You’re going to be under heavy pressure from countless ‘experts’, dubious businesses and big corporations.

Their success depends on ever growing numbers of carbohydrate addicts. That’s why you need to be armed with the facts.

A Thirty Year Old Bungle!

The Thirty Years Cholesterol Results

Bungle!

This is a video about exactly what caused millions of people, 30 - 40 years ago to rush to the doctor to get their cholesterol results.

There was a very good reason. You see just about everybody were showing:

very high cholesterol results.

Nobody questioned why this was so. Nobody stopped to think how it was possible that so many people, who had followed a traditional diet for generations would suddenly prove to have a cholesterol problem.

Although we finally got the answer, You could say - the horse had already bolted!

The Carbohydrate Addict’s misfortune!

This is about a big blunder that Carbohydrate Addict’s have paid for - Dearly!

For almost forty years, we have been bullied and seduced to follow advice about diets that have made us obese, turned us into Carbohydrate addicts and left us wide open to type2 diabetes.

I’m not going to say to you that some new and well touted diet doesn’t work.  Who knows, it might well reduce your weight.  But it’s like a pony trick, it will last only a short time.  When you stop the diet, your body immediately begins to return to normal and eventually, all the weight you lost, plus some, is back where your body knows it belongs.

When you go on a diet you declare war not only on your body, but on nature itself. Your body is not built for diets and no matter how often you try, and how much weight you might lose in the process, you will finally gain it all back, plus some.

You see, when you diet your brain sends a message to your body which says in effect: We have a famine!  Any weight you lose from then on will be treated as weight lost through starvation.  That’s why your body is so anxious to get it all back for you.

Is there a way to avoid that process and still lose weight with a diet?  No!  People have been trying to do that for forty years – without success.  I’m sure you’ve had a couple of tries yourself.  The fact is diets don’t work! Sure, you can lose weight, but your body will always guarantee you get it all back – sooner or later.

You need to learn and recognize that you don’t have a weight problem – you have a food problem.  You are eating the wrong food, you’re eating way too much of it and your body doesn’t like that kind of food. It has already lost its natural ability to control and balance your weight.

This has happened not by chance, it is the result of the unnecessary meddling by unqualified people which began around 40 years ago.  It has caused what is best described as mass carbohydrate addiction and what is already termed an obesity epidemic.

By not taking action, you will become a carbohydrate addict. You will eventually lapse into obesity.  Along the way, you will be exposed to type2 diabetes, a dangerous, life threatening disease.

Am I scaring you?  I sure hope so, mainly because nobody else will.  Millions of dollars have been staked on your weight problems. It drives whole industries.  Sure they want you to diet they just don’t want you to lose the weight for good!

It’s time to give your body a chance to recover. You need to relearn the types of food most people still ate naturally thirty - forty years ago. You need to cure your carbohydrate addiction, reverse your weight problem and learn to get back in touch with your own body.

We all need to return to our traditional diet. It is what kept us healthy and caused us to survive and thrive for centuries. It worked very well for us without the help and advice of nutritionists; dietitians diet gurus, food manufacturers and multi-national corporations.

We don’t need a balanced diet, we need the diet our body was designed for and which brought us to where we used to be when most of us were slim - not that long ago!  That was when our mother’s and grandmother’s would pass on their knowledge and advice about our since forgotten Traditional Diet.
